Pregnancy Yoga

Our Prenatal Yoga classes are gentle, flowing and most importantly safe for you and your baby. Each class is designed to:

  • Alleviate the common pregnancy issues such as back pain, sciatica, low energy and indigestion
  • Get you stretching and moving so you stay active and healthy
  • Teach you breathing and relaxation techniques for a stress-free pregnancy and labour
  • Build strength in your legs, core and pelvic floor
  • Teach you techniques for a natural birth

Classes are suitable for all trimesters and levels of experience, including beginners.

Prenatal/ Postnatal Pilates

Our Prenatal/Postnatal Pilates classes are a great complement to your yoga practice. Exercises are performed in a slow, controlled manner. The focus is on:

  • Activating your deep core muscles, including your pelvic floor muscles, to provide stability and support throughout pregnancy and recovery postnatally
  • Increasing strength in your glutes (bottom), lower body and upper body
  • Flexibility exercises, to stretch out the muscles used in class, as well as areas of the body that can become typically tight during pregnancy.

Pregnancy Yogalates

The best of both worlds! In this practice we combine the benefits of Pilates strength training with the flexibility of Yoga, as well as essential breathing techniques, pelvic floor work and meditation. The focus is strength in the middle (abdominal area, buttocks and lower back), so your changing body develops harmoniously, stretching muscles, toning the body, improving posture, developing coordination and stimulating blood circulation.

Prenatal/Postnatal Barre

Our Barre classes are a medium to high intensity, low impact, full body workout that builds endurance and strength. Expect a playful, fun class, which includes elements of Pilates, Ballet and Yoga. Using the Ballet Barre/Wall, Balls and Resistance Bands we will integrate cardio intervals, stretch series, core and pelvic floor work, functional exercises, mobility and dance to keep you fit and healthy.

Postnatal Yoga Classes

Postnatal yoga helps you to re-discover your body after birth! The focus of our classes is to:

  • Tone up and shift baby weight
  • Rebuild your core strength (abs and pelvic floor)
  • Release tension from your neck and shoulders
  • Relax your body and mind – your weekly dose of ‘me-time’!

Suitable from 6 weeks post-birth (or when given the all-clear from you doctor) up until any time – if you had bub a while ago and haven’t got back into exercising again yet, this is a great place to start.  This class is just for mums, so book in your husband/partner for babysitting duties!
